Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC)
The Central Passenger Terminal Complex has been updated to accommodate the growing
number of travelers passing through Hartsfield-Jackson. To enhance passenger service,
improvements included upgrades to curbside services, security checkpoints, ticket
counters, interior finishes, concessions, baggage, makeup facilities, baggage claim
areas, vertical transportation, moving sidewalks and expansion of existing concourses.
Major Projects Include:
Parking Revenue Control System: Complete installation of state-of-the-art
hardware and software systems that meet and/or exceed the Airport’s parking revenue
control needs through the year 2015. Much of the equipment, including 40 pre-pay
stations, has been installed at all of the Airport’s lots. Furthermore, express
lanes have been set up for fast exiting.
Central Passenger Terminal Complex Upgrades: Upgrades were completed in the
Central Passenger Terminal Complex, concourses A, B, C, D and T as well as inside
the Transportation Mall. Upgrades include new granite tile floors in the corridors,
decorated walls and new carpeting in all gate holding rooms. Restrooms have also
been renovated on each concourse with new tile floors, walls, ceilings, lighting
and ventilation.
Renovations also include new baggage claim units in the Terminal North and new Delta
Air Lines ticket counter islands in Terminal South. Furthermore, Hartsfield-Jackson’s
passenger paging system has been upgraded to a more high-tech intercom unit.
