Hartsfield-Jackson welcomes Aeromexico

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials today announced that Aeromexico plans to restart scheduled passenger service between Atlanta and Mexico City via an Embraer 190 aircraft on July 1.

“We are happy Aeromexico is providing nonstop service from Atlanta to Mexico City, with the possibility of connecting to other cities,” said Aviation General Manager Louis Miller. “This adds another option for our customers.”

Aeromexico is a member of the SkyTeam alliance, and the daily service will have an annual economic impact of an estimated $6 million on metro Atlanta and the Southeast. The new service will create seven jobs.

“This flight gives Aeromexico the opportunity to tap into a new market in the United States and encourages even more people to visit Mexico and to experience the culture and hospitality,” said Andrés Conesa, CEO of Aeromexico. “Offering award-winning service, the airline invites business or leisure travelers to take advantage of our extensive connectivity within Mexico to enjoy the best that the country has to offer.”
