Airport exhibit shows beauty in ‘Moonlight Over Georgia’

ATLANTA — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s latest exhibit in the Atrium displays the beauty of Georgia’s southern ruins and landscapes through images photographed by moonlight.

“Moonlight Over Georgia” showcases the natural colors and mysteries of nighttime scenes. Artist Karekin Goekjian transforms the landscape’s natural hues into a brilliant artificiality reminiscent of neon signs and high-definition video.

Born in Lebanon, Goekjian moved to the United States in 1970. His works have been widely displayed in museum and corporate collections worldwide. Goekjian lives in Athens, Ga., where he runs an art gallery on the outskirts of downtown.

“Moonlight Over Georgia” will be on display through August 15.
