Ecco now open at Hartsfield-Jackson

Atlanta eatery joins the list of popular dining options available in the international terminal

ATLANTA – Airport travelers can enjoy the delicious tastes of Ecco, a highly-celebrated tapas and wine bar developed by Atlanta’s Fifth Group Restaurants, now open at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Aviation officials celebrated Ecco’s official opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning in the mezzanine of the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal. Concessionaire HMSHost will operate and manage the restaurant.

“We are excited to add Ecco to our growing list of popular restaurants located here in the international terminal,” said Aviation General Manager Louis Miller. “Ecco brings all the energy, excitement and flavorful dishes from its Midtown Atlanta restaurant to the Airport. As we continue to expand our food and beverage program, travelers can continue to indulge in one of the tempting food creations found at restaurants throughout Hartsfield-Jackson.”

Ecco offers a sophisticated, yet casual, atmosphere where diners can experience seasonally-inspired European cuisine from one of Atlanta’s most renowned restaurants.

“HMSHost is excited to be working with Fifth Group Restaurants to introduce the mouth-watering offerings of Ecco to international travelers at the world’s busiest airport,” said Anthony Alessi, vice president of Business Development at HMSHost. “Ecco’s menu will thrill travelers before or after departing with an assortment of savory tapas and delicious drinks.”

Ecco joins an impressive lineup of dining options in the international terminal’s mezzanine, where Pei Wei Asian Diner, The Original El Taco, The Pecan, The Varsity, Lorena Garcia Tapas Bar and Starbucks already are open.

“Since first opening in 2006, Ecco has grown to become a symbol of Southeastern dining, and delivering that experience to Fifth Group’s hometown airport in Atlanta is very exciting,” said Robby Kukler, partner, Fifth Group Restaurants. “Concourse F is a perfect fit for Ecco because travelers will be exposed to some of Atlanta’s local flair, and Atlantans will find something which they already love.”
