Hartsfield-Jackson Welcomes FLY Burger Bar Boutique to Concourse B
FLY Burger Bar Boutique Is the 130th New Concept in the 152-Concession Roll-Out
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Concessions International (CI) celebrated the opening of FLY Burger Bar Boutique at a ribbon-cutting ceremony today. This marks the 130th new concept to open as part of the Airport’s 152 new concessions locations. Nearly all of the new locations will be completed by the end of 2014.
“We are thrilled to welcome FLY Burger to Hartsfield-Jackson,” said Hartsfield-Jackson Interim General Manager Miguel Southwell. “Today, with our partners Concessions International, we welcomed the 11th and final new concept to Concourse B, providing yet one more unique dining option to travelers passing through our airport.”
CI has brought Atlanta favorites to Hartsfield-Jackson, from Paschal’s Southern favorites to LottaFrutta’s gourmet fruit cups to Fresh To Order’s fast, healthy menu.
“With all of the selected brands having Atlanta roots, it was exciting for us to give everyone a real taste of Atlanta while traveling or coming home,” said CI Chief Executive Officer Donata Russell Major. “Whether you’re visiting Atlanta for the first time or a local, we really wanted to create an opportunity to connect customers to the city through our unique food.”
FLY Burger Bar Boutique is a concept of Tom Catherall, founder of Atlanta-based Here to Serve Restaurants. Chef Catherall has a 30-year history of offering the best food at the most innovative restaurants in the Atlanta area, which have become favorites with diners and critics alike. With 14 restaurants already in his Here to Serve portfolio, FLY Burger Bar Boutique is the first concept he Catherall has created specifically for an airport environment.
FLY Burger Bar Boutique was designed with on-the-go guests in mind. The concept’s gourmet patties are made fresh daily from never-frozen, Certified Angus Beef. Innovative menu creations include the Holy Guacamole, featuring freshly made guacamole; the Korean Kimchee, with sesame krispies and pickled veggies; the Crabby Patty, made with lump crab, and the Veggie, topped with caramelized onions – all served with mouth-watering hand-cut French fries. Guests can also choose from a selection of fresh salads, all-day breakfast items as well as signature shakes. The sit-down restaurant also offers beer and cocktails.
