Atlanta Airport and TSA Officials to Discuss Guns at Security Checkpoints

WHAT: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Transportation Security Administration officials will hold a press conference on Thursday to discuss firearms confiscated at the world’s busiest airport.

In 2012, more guns were confiscated at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport than any other airport in the United States. As a result, the Airport is seeking to raise awareness of the proper procedures for passengers seeking to travel with their firearms and the legal consequences for violating federal law.
