Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and USDA Open New Inspection Plant

USDA-approved site triples in size; one of two facilities to apply cold treatment in the Southeast

WHAT: Hartsfield-Jackson and USDA officials will celebrate the opening of a new USDA Inspection Plant, a 17,000 square-foot facility built to inspect plants, animals and perishables. Hartsfield-Jackson and Miami International Airport are the only two USDA-approved sites to apply cold treatment in the Southeast. Following the ceremony, guests will receive a guided tour of the facility.
