Hartsfield-Jackson Prepared for Inclement Weather
Airport prepares for anticipated ice, sleet and snow event
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has commenced winter storm preparations due to anticipated inclement weather conditions and will remain open and fully operational this week. As part of our resources available, the airport has 100,000 gallons of de-icing fluid, 50,000lbs pounds of de-icing pellets and 50,000lbs of a salt/sand mixture. Our de-icing pads are available for the airlines to continue de-icing operations. Additionally, the airport will be fully staffed with essential personnel working 12-hour shifts beginning tonight at 11 p.m. Travelers should contact their airlines directly for information on delays and cancellations.
