Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is investigating the possibility of offering dry cleaning services. The concept would involve a dry cleaner that utilizes GreenEarth Cleaning technology, an environmentally safe dry cleaning process that replaces petroleum-based solvents traditionally used in dry cleaning with liquid silicone. Liquid silicone is an odorless, colorless solution that is an excellent carrier for detergents, has ideal properties for fabric care and is better for the environment.
The Airport concept ideally would include an automated retrieval system, which would allow customers to pick up their clothing any time of the day and any day of the week. Additionally, customers would be able to drop off clothing through a convenient drop box. The turn-around time goal would be two days. For example, whatever is dropped off on Mondays will be ready for pickup on Wednesdays.
