Cellular Telephones with Domestic and International Capabilities Available for Daily or Weekly Rates
By Triphenya Bailey

If you've ever packed your bags for vacation and realized in mid-flight that you left your cell phone on the kitchen counter, the international services of Rent-a-Cellular may be music to your ears.

Available at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as well as two other airports in the United States and Brazil, Rent-a-Cellular kiosks are filled with the latest in cellular telephone and wireless technology. Rent-a-Cellular operates locations at Washington Dulles International and Philadelphia International, as well as Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Cell phones are available for rental on a daily or weekly basis, depending on the customer's needs. The daily rate is $5 and the weekly rate is $20. Per minute usage fees apply, ranging from 95 cents per minute to $2.45 per minute for international calls.

Customers must present a valid picture identification and credit card to rent cell phones. In addition to the rentals, the locations sell a number of other technological tools. "We sell all types of cell phone accessories. From earpieces and car chargers to pouches and carrying cases for the phones, we carry a large variety of accessories," said Lester Caceres, an assistant manager at the Atrium location of the Atlanta Airport.

There are three locations inside Hartsfield-Jackson, with cell phone rental service available in the Atrium and on Concourses A and C. Rent-a-Cellular's gate locations at Hartsfield-Jackson are found near gates A15 and C16. Store operating hours are weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
