New Places, New Spaces, New Faces:
New and Expanded Routes Offer Variety
By Charisma Cannon
This summer, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport encourages
passengers to get out and discover new places, try out new spaces and meet
new faces in some of its newest and expanded destinations. Several airlines
operating out of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport recently added new daily routes,
as well as expanded old favorites for the traveling public's convenience.
Among the newest daily routes are Boise, ID; Lewisburg, WV; and two Mississippi destinations: Tunica and Tupelo. Boise offers Atlantans an opportunity to see why its state touts the best spud around. And if the great outdoors is calling, Lewisburg offers a breathtaking backdrop for any traveler’s adventures. Give lady luck a chance in Tunica and discover small town friendliness with big city attractions in Tupelo.
"Our new routes offer Atlantans more access to smaller, less traveled parts of the country," said Ben DeCosta, general manager of the Airport. "As we grow and expand here at Hartsfield-Jackson, our growth and expansion must also be reflected in the destinations offered as well."
Recently expanded routes include such cities as Seattle, WA; Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC; Gulfport, MS; Jacksonville, FL; Bloomington/Normal, IL; Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC, to name a few.
