Travel Tip: Remember 3-1-1
By DeAllous Smith
Aviation officials are encouraging travelers to bring plenty of patience
and to be mindful of the Transportation Security Administration’s
(TSA) new 3-1-1 policy when arriving at the Airport.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in a travel-sized container
weighing 3-ounces or less. The container must be placed within a 1
quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag. And only 1 bag is permitted
per traveler. Airport Customer Service representatives are distributing
the bags at no cost to passengers entering the security checkpoint
area. We are anticipating a steady stream of passengers to flow through the facility as the calendar year draws to a close,” said Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta. |
We are encouraging everyone to register online at www.atlanta-airport.com for continuous updates on wait times at the security checkpoint, and to receive current flight status information using our online Trak-A-Line and Trak-A-Flight services.”
Trak-A-Line and Trak-A-Flight services are free, and individuals can have security wait times and flight information sent to their PDA, cell phone or pager at no cost.
Motorists may also dial 1-877-ATL-PARK to obtain information on available parking, or tune their car stereo to AM 830, the Airport’s radio station for current information, once they’re within a 10-mile radius of the Airport.
