Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s fifth runway and the new World of Coca-Cola were selected as the cover images for BellSouth’s 2007 Atlanta edition of The Real Yellow Pages.
“With the addition of the fifth runway at Hartsfield-Jackson, Atlanta is on the cutting edge of efficient air travel, and the new runway is a wonderful example of this new era at our airport,” said Ron Frieson, President of BellSouth-Georgia. “We are proud to feature the new runway on The Real Yellow Pages.”
BellSouth delivered more than 3 million copies of the printed product and CD versions of The Real Yellow Pages to local businesses and residents. Each year the cover images selected salute hometown communities.
“Hartsfield-Jackson’s selection for the cover of BellSouth’s directory speaks volumes,” said Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta. “We call the fifth runway the most important runway in America because it is the key to air travel in the nation and a vital component of the world’s busiest airport,” said Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta.
With the fifth runway, which is now fully operational, the Airport can handle more aircraft operations, as well as reduce pollutants from planes sitting idle on the ground. Runway 10-28 allows the facility to handle 134 flight operations per hour.
