ATL Airport Security Chief is in Elite Top 25
By Triphenya Bailey

Aviation Security Director Richard L. Duncan, CPP, was recently recognized by Security Solutions Magazine as one of the security industry’s Top 25 Most Influential.

As the director of security at the world’s busiest airport, Duncan keeps abreast of changing technologies and often relies on his vast network of aviation security professionals to enhance the capabilities of the Atlanta Airport security team.

“We are not in competition with other airports,” said Duncan, who received the honor in December 2006. “We work as a network to enhance the aviation security industry,” said the retired U.S. Army Major.

Duncan joins U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and noted security expert and author Charles “Chuck” Sennewald on the coveted list. He started his career at Hartsfield-Jackson in 1996 as the City of Atlanta prepared for the Summer Olympic Games.
