By DeAllous Smith
The word is spreading about Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s
best kept secret. Think you know the answer?
Here’s a hint: It’s a consolidated information center.
Passengers seeking information about transportation services and Airport
shops are stopping by the Ground Transportation and Airport Information
counter, which is located in the Arrivals Lobby area.

The center provides passengers with a host of information about the Airport
and instant access to scheduling transportation services. The location is
open seven days a week between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Easily accessible for arriving passengers, the information center is staffed
by Airport Customer Service representatives and Hartsfield Host volunteers.
“This location offers customers service options within a climate-controlled
area,” said Aviation Ground Transportation Manager Winston Cooper.
“The immediate convenience means customers will not have to venture
outside in the elements to negotiate transportation services.”
Passengers may arrange limousine or sedan transportation services from the
center. Once customers complete a transaction, they can proceed to curbside
area to locate their awaiting vehicle.
“In a world-class airport, we must have world-class services to match,” said Cooper. “We want to be able to provide access to transportation service in a secure environment. Our well-trained staff is always ready and willing to help,” he added.
