… And Speaking of Success
Execs share perspectives with global audience
By John McCullough
Considered experts in the field of aviation, Hartsfield-Jackson leaders
are sought after around the globe to share best practices.
“There’s great value in exchanging insights with fellow aviation
professionals,” said Hartsfield-Jackson General Manager Ben DeCosta.
“We’re proud of the success we’re generating here at Hartsfield-Jackson.
However, we’re always open to hearing how our peers are driving results
at their respective operations.”
DeCosta was the keynote speaker at a CIFAL conference held in Shanghai,
China, in April. CIFAL is a nonprofit organization that provides government
and civic leaders a forum to exchange ideas.

professionals. DeCosta was also a panelist during a forum on airports as
economic development engines.
Airport Deputy General Manager Mario Diaz spoke at the World’s Best
Airport forum held in April in Incheon City in Seoul, South Korea. He participated
in a panel that discussed aviation-related economic issues.
Robert Kennedy, Airport assistant general manager of operations, maintenance
and security, delivered a speech in Amsterdam on the impact of changing
security requirements on airports. The speech was given at the Passenger
Terminal Expo, an international annual conference. It is attended by aviation
professionals who discuss the latest trends in airport design and how to
improve the passenger experience.
