Workshop Addresses Flight Diversions

Hartsfield-Jackson hosted a workshop designed to enhance the lines of communications between the Airport and its “diversion partners” – Southeast airports that would receive flights diverted from Hartsfield-Jackson.

“The aviation industry must stay focused on how diversions can disrupt the traveling public,” said Robert Kennedy, Hartsfield-Jackson assistant general manager.

Approximately 35 participants representing nine airports, the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Georgia Department of Transportation attended. Delta Air Lines and Air Tran customer service executives also attended.
