Airport Concessions opens four more stores
A new era of retail keeps evolving at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. During a ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 25, Hartsfield-Jackson’s Concessions program welcomed more new stores to the Atrium: Brooks Brothers, Brighton Collectibles, Drugs & More/AeroClinic and Beyond the Reef (a Georgia Aquarium store). The stores offer high-quality merchandise that’s sure to delight travelers and employees alike. All of the stores, operated by award-winning airport concessionaire the Paradies Shops, are on the south side of the Atrium. After the ribbon-cutting, the celebration continued with appearances from the Georgia Aquarium’s mascots, Domino and Deepo. Brighton Collectibles held a trunk show to unveil merchandise from its 2009 spring collection, and a Brooks Brothers expert tailor provided measurements for customers. In addition, photojournalist Ozier Muhammad signed copies of Obama: The Historic Journey, which features his photos of President Obama, at the upcoming New York Times Store site. And, Drugs & More offered free blood-pressure testing. “The Atrium program was designed primarily for concepts that meet passengers’ core needs, but we were also looking for a strong sense of place,” said Concessions director John Cugasi. The second phase of the retail renaissance is projected to be complete in April. For a virtual tour, visit the Airport’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/AtlantaHartsfield.
