Thought you saw a Pink Panther? You did. You did.
By DeAllous Smith

Travelers didn’t use any treats to entice France’s most colorful cat, the Pink Panther, into taking photos with them at Hartsfield-Jackson recently. While pawing his way through the Airport, the smiling feline gladly gave away pink lollipop rings and posed for photographs with departing soldiers, airline employees and children of all ages.

It was an unforgettable moment for young passengers.

Asia Watkins, 3, giggled as she and her mother prepared to depart for London. “Wow!” she exclaimed, pointing toward the cat.

Fans applauded the panther’s cat-like moves as he purred and danced to the sounds of his theme music, played on a piano at Houlihan’s restaurant in the Atrium.

“I’m very excited. This was my first time meeting the Pink Panther,” said Memphis resident Randy Hilton. “I’ve watched the Pink Panther for many, many years.”

“The Pink Panther 2,” a sequel to the 2006 hit movie, was released in theaters in February. The film stars Steve Martin as French police Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
