Hartsfield-Jackson in the news Hartsfield-Jackson's Maintenance unit was featured during a segment on CNN about the Airport's plant life in early May. CNN's Reynolds Wolf talked with Abra Lee, landscape manager, about the aesthetic aspect of horticulture at the Airport — such as replacing the seasonal flower arrangements outside the terminal — and rode with Rick Rower as he mowed the grass, as required by the Federal Aviation Administration. The Airport's effort to warn consumers about a pet-buying scam drew widespread interest from media outlets. Consumers spend hundreds of dollars in exchange for pets, such as puppies and birds, that the scammers promise to send to them. The Airport is mentioned when the scammers claim that the fictitious pets are being held there, pending additional vaccinations or the payment of other expenses, and that the buyers should contact the Airport to find out where and how to retrieve the animals. Hartsfield-Jackson issued a news release about the situation in the hope of preventing additional people from being victimized. The Airport's practical advice was covered by, among others, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSB Radio. In other news:
