A celebration and ribbon-cutting at the Airport’s rental car center on December 7, the day before it officially opened, was well-attended not only by local government officials and other dignitaries but also by media representatives.

When Mayor Shirley Franklin broke a champagne bottle to christen the ATL SkyTrain, many print and broadcast journalists were on hand to capture the moment.
