hosts annual Aviation Day at the Capitol
Officials from Hartsfield-Jackson will visit the Georgia State Capitol on February 4 to share information about the Airport with state lawmakers.
At Hartsfield-Jackson’s fifth annual Aviation Day at the Capitol,
members of the Airport’s senior management, Fire Department
and Police Department will enlighten state legislators on Airport
projects, operations, plans for growth and accomplishments. The program
is from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the second floor of the South Hall.
Walter Vinson, Aviation intergovernmental affairs manager, said
much of the information will focus on the Airport’s capital
improvement projects, such as the rental car center, which opened
in December, and the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal,
which is under construction and expected to be completed in spring
