Animation provides virtual tour of new international terminal

When a building is under construction, it can be tough to visualize what it ultimately will look like. Even more difficult is imagining the inside and how it will be used.

That’s why Hartsfield-Jackson has developed an animated video of the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal.

The high-resolution animation provides a virtual tour of the 1.2 million-square-foot international terminal being built at Hartsfield-Jackson. The five-minute video takes the viewer on a fly-through that features close-up looks at the departures and arrivals halls, terminal roadways, airside court and gate concourse.

The animation, which is posted on the Airport’s YouTube channel, will be used to illustrate what the completed facility will look like. It also will help passengers understand how to access and navigate the $1.3 billion international terminal when it opens in 2012.
