Atrium exhibit celebrates photography In its latest Atrium exhibit, “The Airport Show,” Hartsfield-Jackson’s Art Program teamed up with the Atlanta Photography Group to display an amazing collection of traditional, documentary-style and modern photographs. Katherine Marbury, Airport Art Program manager, said the project gave both emerging and experienced artists an opportunity to showcase images filled with imagination and illusion. “October is Atlanta Celebrates Photography month,” Marbury said. “Throughout the city, residents and visitors can enjoy the works of more than 400 photographers in more than 150 photographic exhibitions and events.” Travelers through the world’s busiest airport were excited to see the new exhibit. “Whenever I fly out of Atlanta, I always walk through the Atrium,” said Shannon Rigney of Dunwoody. “I normally have my favorite pieces, but this exhibit makes it really hard to decide.” “We want this exhibit to raise the public’s awareness of photography as an art form as well as of the Atlanta Photography Group,” she said. “The Airport Show” is in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atrium Gallery through November 17.
