Prospective concessionaires get tours, info
By Katena Carvajales

Hartsfield-Jackson held a pre-proposal conference and site tours in late September for parties interested in submitting proposals to operate concessions at the Airport.

The Airport recently reissued requests for proposals (RFPs) for 126 new food and beverage outlets and 26 new retail outlets throughout the Airport, including at the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal.

More than 60 people registered for the site tours, which were conducted September 26. Prospective concessionaires were able to see the spaces that are part of the RFPs.

The following day, a pre-proposal conference led by Adam Smith, chief procurement officer for the City of Atlanta, drew more than 200 participants. The conference provided details about forms and processes associated with the RFPs.

Smith decided to reissue the RFPs for the concessions procurement process because several submissions contained errors on a state-mandated immigration form.
