Hartsfield-Jackson shares information at the Capitol
By Staff Writers

Officials from Hartsfield-Jackson visited the Georgia State Capitol on February 15 to share information about the Airport with state lawmakers.

At Hartsfield-Jackson’s seventh annual Aviation Day at the Capitol, Airport senior staff members and other Airport representatives updated state legislators on the construction and impending opening of the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal.

“It is important to make sure that legislators understand the business of the Airport,” said Walter Vinson, manager of government and community engagement. “We use this annual opportunity to make sure that government officials are aware of the projects under way, especially one on the scale of the international terminal.”

Aviation General Manager Louis Miller and Vinson also held separate meetings with the chairmen of the state House and Senate transportation committees.
