International Terminal Captures Best in Atlanta Real Estate Award
It’s time to make room on the shelf for another award for the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle recognized the international terminal during its 2012 Best in Atlanta Real Estate awards. The terminal won in the Design category.
“From the design process, to the day the first shovel broke ground and through construction, many dedicated professionals, tradesmen and other committed men and women lent their expertise and passion to bring the international terminal to life,” said Aviation General Manager Louis Miller. “We can all be very proud, not just of the design work that went into the international terminal, but every critical aspect of this project.”
Joining the Airport team for the awards program were executives from Atlanta Gateway Designers – the joint venture that designed the international terminal. The team was represented by Al Pramuk of Gresham, Smith and Partners and Karen Duckett of Duckett Design Group.
This is the latest recognition for the new facility, which recently has earned a similar design award from the Precast/Pre-stressed Concrete Institute.
“It’s always an honor to be recognized by fellow professionals in the design and construction sectors,” said Aviation Assistant General Manager Jim Drinkard. “However, the true award is the positive feedback we continue to receive from our customers.”
