Airport exceeds blood drive goal
After eclipsing the goal for blood donations at last year’s blood drive, Hartsfield-Jackson this year set the bar even higher: 103 pints. Once again, the goal was met and then some, with 137 pints of blood donated.
The eighth annual blood drive on July 25 was held in two locations: Concourse T (where 46 pints were collected) and the Airport’s executive offices (totaling 91 donations). The American Red Cross reports that each pint of donated blood can save as many as three lives.
