Kid's Club WELCOME TO THE KIDS CLUB!

Kids of all ages are invited to become a part of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's Kids Club and keep up with the exciting things that are going on all the time. All you have to do is tell your friends about it and stay in touch by visiting this Website as often as you like.

The "World's Busiest Airport" is more than a place of transport where millions of people arrive from and depart to cities and towns in our nation and the larger world. It is a magical place that will tantalize you with art, color, shape and culture.

Enter this magical place, and you can explore the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a wonderful exhibit entitled The History of Paper, puppets from around the world and intriguing artwork created by school children from Georgia.

Before you enter the airport terminal, you will be greeted, at both the North and South Terminals, with large murals and suitcase sculptures. There are two youth galleries inside, one at the T-Gates centerpoint and another in the East Wing of Concourse E, and a wealth of other artworks awaiting your discovery throughout the complex.

How do you think the airport's Art Program has been able to acquire the more than 250 pieces of artwork in its permanent collection and all of the art on display in 29 cases that are part of the rotating exhibition program? Well, some of it is purchased; artists are also commissioned to produce art specifically for the airport; and some of it is on loan from museums, colleges and schools as well as from corporate and private collections.

Ever heard of Shona art? It is some of the most fabulous contemporary art and it is created by artists who live in a place in Southern Africa called Zimbabwe. You are in for a treat when you see their unique stone sculptures in the transportation mall, where the moving sidewalks are located.

Now, are you ready for an adventure?
Prepare yourself for an exciting encounter with a steel penguin ...
